• I am using WordPress v. 4.0 and the Twenty Twelve v. 1.5 Theme. I am a WordPress Newbie. Everything else in the Twenty Twelve Theme is working properly for me and it is easy to work with. so I would like to continue with Twenty Twelve.

Problem: When I Publish a new Post to this Theme with Windows Live Writer or ScribeFire everything seems to work perfectly. However, if I then use the web browser and go to the site, that post does not appear on the live site.

Then, if I log into the WordPress Dashboard, on the first page, the post I Published with the Weblog client is shown in the number of posts. Also, if I go to Posts > All Posts, the Post I Published with the Weblog Client is in the list of posts and I can Delete the test post there.

Temporarily, I changed to the Twenty Eleven Theme and test posts I Published with Weblog Clients appeared immediately on the live site while testing with the Twenty Eleven Theme. Twenty Eleven is much harder for me to make changes to so on this site I want to stay with Twenty Twelve.

My hosting provider has checked server logs and they do not see anything related to the Theme that is causing this issue. They have been very helpful, but this does not seem to be a Server related issue. Also, they have White listed some things for me. I deleted the .htaccess file that was in use before I changed the site to WordPress.

The installation is about 10 days old and I downloaded WordPress 4.0 from WordPress.org and did a Clean install on my cPanel based site.

Yesterday, I looked at many threads on the first 10 pages of this Support Forum and also Googled for this.

Question: is there a known issue with xmlrpc.php or a file that calls it or that it calls? If so, what is the problem and how can I fix it?

One thing I read somewhere yesterday indicated there may be a file where the reference to xmlrpc has an extra character. For example .xmlrpc instead of xmlrpc

If someone can explain to me exactly what I need to change and in which file, I can do that.

Thank you for your time and help!
