@tnightingale there is an entire section dedicated to webhooks in our documentation.
That write up is a bit outdated but still provides the general information. The plug-in automatically creates webhooks for you when you connect it to your Stripe account.

This is for the “Payment Plugins for PayPal WooCommerce” plugin. The link to documentation in admin doesn’t have anything about webhooks.
We’re not using Stripe, I think your answer is related to a different plugin.
@tnightingale My bad, I didn’t check which support forum this was for and assumed it was for our Stripe plugin.
The webhook is generated automatically by the plugin when you connect it to your PayPal account. The webhook has two functions, both of which aren’t critical to your store:
1. If you create a refund in the PayPal dashboard, the webhook will also add a refund in your WooCommerce store to ensure your accounting is accurate in WooCommerce.
2. Should anything interfere with the payment process (rare) the webhook is there to ensure post payment processes like updating the order status are run.
