WebFinger error

Hi, I also have an error with webfinger.

This is my site health report:

https://mydomain.social/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct:myuser@mydomain.social does not return valid JSON for application/jrd+json.

I have installed the plugin in a new wordpress installation, with latest software release version (6.2) without subdomains, without cache enabled, with no other plugins and the wordpress default theme. Just Let’s Encrypt Wildcard activated.

My host is Siteground and this is the error log report:

thanks for your report and your review 🙂

It is actually not really a bug, but a problem with a lot of shared hosting envs, because of their config with lets encrypt.

Could you send me your domain and maybe your webfinger id? So that I can have a look?

I am not sure what is the webfinger ID, but the url includes the username.

Oh, you also have a cache issue! The author page should not return JSON when called in the browser!

And the same issue as others with WebFinger: https://viajeros.social/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct%3Aviajerosadmin357qw%40viajeros.social

This is an siteground error message, that means that the request does not go through to WordPress at all 🙁

As I mentioned above, I try to find someone at siteground to discuss that issue.

Ok, let me know if you need to test something else on mi website. It is just a test-site, so if you want to have user credentials to access the wordpress background I have no problem to give you..
