• Hey,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask…

We love wordpress – but since the switchover visits to our website have fallen over 50%. Our webdesigners are saying that this is because we hadnt ‘pointed’ some of our alias domains to the the new wordpress site. None of these alias domains are promoted and these domains are just pointed at our main .com address. They all point to it now. But I can’t understand how this could have caused it.

    Any help much appreciatd.

    Thanks,

    Mark

  • Without more details it’s hard to know, but if the URLs for existing content changed when you migrated, it would be a good idea to implement some 301 redirects on your web server to tell browsers and Google where to find the content now.
