Hi

When I make the backup of my website, and show the Web-server disk space in use by UpdraftPlus: 8.5 GB refresh https://prnt.sc/-0DIx9qRICYl

Then the backup take very long time to finish.

What is 8.5GB? Does is the full size of backup for my website? If yes, could you show me how to reduce please?

I don’t save the backup file on the local file.

Hi,

The 8.5Gb file size is the size of all the backups saved. Backups are by default stored in the “wp-content/updraft” folder. You can check the backup files that are stored there and delete the files that are no longer needed.

I check it, no other files.

For the starting is only 1GB, then show more and more, does is the size of my website?

Any solution to reduce the size? Because now can’t make the backup to google drive, or need very long time to wait.

Can you confirm that you want the backup to be saved on your Google Drive storage only?

Please make sure you are not ticking the checkbox “Only allow this backup to be deleted manually” as indicated in the screenshot https://nimb.ws/eX8c0Q.

The site owner rarely changes in the files, so take a backup of the database instead of a full backup.
