    Hi Hendricks,

Could you provide a link to your site, so we can test this?

    Thank you

    Hi,

It looks like there might be a redirect loop happening after the register button is clicked, as all other functions are working instantaneously. Have you specified a value for the “redirect_page” attribute in your [register] shortcode? Could you paste in the full shortcode you’re using?

    Thank you

    [register redirect_page=’http://lmdealer.net/’]

I also deleted your sign up so you can sign up again.

    Any luck diagnosing the problem?

    Hi,

The shortcode looks good. What happens if you try setting the redirect_page to something else (e.g. off your site, like http://google.com), and then try a new registration? Does it redirect right away, or still loop?

    [register redirect_page=’http://google.com/’]

I changed it to the above. Still times out.

There’s something really weird going on with the redirect then when the register button is clicked. What if you get rid of the redirect_page altogether. Just put [register] as your shortcode. That way when someone registers, it should just stay on the same page and display a registration successful message. Does this work?

Also, do you have a redirect_page for your [login] shortcode? If so, is that one working, or is it exhibiting the same problem?

I deleted all of the auto created pages and recreated them. As long as I leave the registration redirect page set to https://lmdealer.net/index.php/login/edit-profile/# it doesn’t time out, but it takes forever. Any idea what’s causing the long time to send e-mails?

Not at the moment. If you turn off all email sending for the registration, and then use the redirect_page to redirect to one of the pages that was timing out before, does it still time out? Basically trying to figure out if this is a redirect issue or email issue.

    Thanks

I turned off all of the e-mail notifications in the control panel and it doesn’t time out. Redirect page does like it should, too. Do I need to contact my web host for this issue?

    Hi,

You may need to. But, before you do so, just double check that you have all the correct settings in WP Mail SMTP (i.e. your email host’s SMTP server, the port number, and any authentication credentials, if you use that). Test emails may still send properly if you have the host/server set to localhost, but it needs to be configured properly for real emails to be able to be sent out via our plugin.

Also just double check that what you have entered for the “Email Field Name” setting in the “Emails” tab matches exactly the name of your email field as it shows in the “Fields” tab.
