    Dear Duracelltomi

Thanks for making such a great plugin.

I’ve installed your plugin, and everything’s working great for the analytics tracking part.

I do have some issues with AdWords and AdWords Remarking.

I’m using WooCommerce and have chosen the “AdWords Remarketing” option under the “Integrations” tab.

However when creating an audience in Google Adwords for a remarketing campaign I get the following issues about the remarketing Tag:
“We haven’t detected the AdWords tag on your website or in your app” &
“We haven’t detected the Google Analytics remarketing functionality on your website”

When using the chrome extension tag manager, it can only find the “Google Analytics
UA-61415553-1” tag on the page. It can’t find any AdWords tag, or AdWords remarketing tag. Also, shouldn’t it be classified as a Google Tag Manager tag instead of the Google analytics UA-xxxxx one?

I’ve tested with the container code placement in the footer and custom just after the <body> tag. Currently it is placed in custom after the <body> tag using the “Tracking Code Manager” plugin (so I dont have to tweak the template).

I have enabled remarketing and remarketing properties in analytics, and linked the analytics and adwords accounts.

I can’t figure out why google is telling me that there is no adwords remarketing and adwords tag on the page, it should be added through your great plugin.

    Do you have any ideas?

    Webpage is: http://apspartner.dk/

    Thanks!

    Best,

    Jonas

I just figured out that I haven’t added the AdWords Tag or the AdWords remarketing tag in the google tag manager interface.

I figure I just need to go ahead and add these two and make sure they fire on all pages and then I’m good to go, and they should be found by the google chrome extension and I should get rid of the error messages described above in AdWords about the missing tags.

Do I need any special AdWords and AdWords Remarketing installment instructions or is it just to do it the standard way, for it to work properly with the plugin?

Looking forward to hear from you.

    Best,
    Jonas

    Hi Jones,

I am happy that you are satisfied with my plugin and I am also happy to see that you were able to find the reason for your issue.

You can use the AdWords tag on GTM as with other sites, no special treatment needed.

If you are using WooCommerce and dynamic remarketing, you should follow these instructions and apply the “DOM Ready” trigger to your AdWords remarketing tag as well:

    Hi again

    Thanks for getting back.

The problem came either because I had clicked weather data and scroll tracking or because I had tried implementing the code using the custom method.

Anyway, when I removed everything that wasn’t necessary and implemented the script via footer again adwords remarketing and GTM was recognized by the chrome extension and the error from adwords dissapeared.

Thanks so much for making it so simple to implement all these great tracking opportunities, and for delivering great support free of charge.

    Best,
    Jonas
