Support » Plugin: Ninja Forms Contact Form - The Drag and Drop Form Builder for WordPress » WCAG 2.0 AA and/or 508 Accessibility Compliance still absent

  • With all the features this plugin offers, it’s a shame that accessibility continues to be an issue. Over 7 months ago,
Ninja devs promised that they’d implement fixes (
Not only does this remain inaccessible, it is near impossible to work around the limitations imposed by the plugin devs.

Through a very hack-tastic solution, I managed to find a way around accessibility issues. Realistically, though, the paid model makes developing with this form regrettable. I would have spent far fewer development hours if I’d just hard-coded the form and moved on.

Downloader/buyer beware — any modifications you wish to make will cost you nearly $50 for each add-on. With more countries accepting WCAG 2.0 AA as standard (and making laws accordingly), it’s a shame that this plugin makes it extremely difficult.

It is a shame. This is still true as of January 2017. We learned when we started looking into accessibility that we made some decisions in 3.0 that greatly impeded our ability to provide proper accessibility in Ninja Forms, and while we do have it on our road map to complete, the task has ended up being a much bigger endeavor than we anticipated.

The bottom line is that we’re sorry. We’re aware. This is important to us. We own these mistakes, and we’re in the progress of owning the fix.

Thank you for your feedback…its important and necessary to keep us focused on this goal.

Any updates to this? Would be nice if there was at least an WCAG addon. With an Agency licence we really need to know that Ninja forms can be a serious solution going into the future or we won’t be able to renew. Thank you.
