Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway » “wc-api/WC_Gateway_Stripe/” returns 404 error

  • Resolved jameskzhao

Recently my website failed to take stripe payments. Users are able to enter their credit card info and click payment button, but afterwards it redirects to and returns a 404 page.

I checked my stripe logs, there were POST requests to “/v1/tokens” and “/v1/sources” endpoints, I could see that “a source with ID *** is chargeable” from event logs, but no charge was created. Stripe support confirmed that there was nothing wrong with my stripe account.

I suspect that it is something related to my woocommerce rest api setting because even when I use a 3rd party stripe payment plugin(YITH), it redirects to a similar url (/wc-api/YITH_WCStripe_Gateway/?reference={ORDER_ID}&amount={AMOUNT}&signature={SIGNATURE}) which returns a 404 page.

Any ideas on how I can investigate and solve the problem? I am going to deactivate all other plugins to see if problem still exists. Thanks.

    WP: 4.9.5
    WooCommerce: 3.3.5
    WooCommerce Stripe Gateway: 4.1.0

    Hi there,

I do suspect there may be some type of conflict. When viewing the same endpoint as a query string, it works as expected(not 404).

    Hi Mike,

Thank you for your reply. The problem might be from new features introduced in WC Strpe Gateway v4.1.0, because I installed an older version (4.0.7) and everything works fine now.

I have the same issue, I decided to use 4.0.7, it works. Something is wrong with 4.1.0
