Hi again, again, and again… 🙂

Ok, I create Groups, Users, Users dispached in different Groups… Now it’s time to test restricted access to some Pages and Posts.
So I create a New post that I want be access only for my Group-B.

Of course, I’m logged as Admin, so I create it > “Apply custom access settings?” > Group B, but… I Iwant to preview the result : “You have not permitted to view this page.” OO

Probably Role Problem in your codding I suppose.

    Thx.

    Hello kameleon1er,

Could you please confirm if you have followed these steps completely:

    1) Login to the WP dashboard and go to the post you want to restrict.
    2) Enable the option “Apply custom access settings?”. Once you enable this option you will see the option “Content Availability”.

    3) Select the option “Content accessible to Logged In Users “. Once selected, you will see the option “Select the User Group that can see this content?”.

    4) Select the group from drop down and save.

Hi again, Yes I understood that, but what I’m trying to explain is I’m deploying My Groups, my Users, my pages etc… so I’m connected as “Admin” of my entire site or Super-Admin if you prefer.

And when I want to check the result form a protected content by Group for example or even " Content accessible to Logged In Users ", it doesn’t work = "You have not permitted to view this page."

Ok, it’s not a big deal, to check I use another browser, but it could be easiest if we could see results directly as “Admin”.

    Thanks.

    Hello kameleon1er,

Content restriction for pages or posts works the same way for admin as it works for other users. If a page is accessible only for group B and admin is not member group B then the admin cannot view content of the page on frontend.

To access content of the page on frontend, the admin needs to be member of group B.
