Support » Plugin: WassUp Real Time Analytics » Wassup causing site to crash, mysql db possibly too large

  • I have been using this plugin for about year with no problems on a multisite. This past month I’ve been randomly getting ‘Error establishing a database connection’ errors. I believe the wassup table may be to large. Here is the error I found:

    [10-Sep-2014 17:11:06 UTC] WordPress database error Query execution was interrupted for query SHOW TABLE STATUS LIKE ” made by require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), require_once(‘wp-load.php’), require_once(‘wp-config.php’), require_once(‘wp-settings.php’), include_once(‘/plugins/wassup/wassup.php’), wassupOptions->wassupoptions, wassupOptions->loadSettings, wassupOptions->getSettings, wassupOptions->defaultSettings, wassupOptions->getMySQLsetting

    How should I fix this?

    You should check your mysql database, first of all.

    Then you can try to go to Options page (WassUp) and clear all the old records (of course you lose old stats).

    If you cannot go in the admin, you should backup your “wp_wassup” database table and truncate it.
