  • I’m trying to get this update of my one template working. The template had an option for the )title, logo, link and description) now it’s not showing any of those options…

    I get this warning at the botton of wordpress and my website…

    Warning: Unknown: open(/var/chroot/home/content/83/6354683/tmp/sess_3f49f3d56a0d14854d50a2897218b582, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0

    Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct () in Unknown on line 0

    What can I do, this was supposed to be done last night for many companies to see.

    Anyone have a solution?

  • It is a session cookie error where the default session.save_path does not exist, as this came up on another forum last week with the host GoDaddy?

    Here is a copy of the resolution from the OP from the other forum:

    1. First, I had to rename my php.ini file to php5.ini (in order for any changes to be recognized).
    2. I had to add the following line of code to php5.ini, where “MYABSOLUTEPATH” is the absolute path specified by my web host:

    session.save_path = “/MYABSOLUTEPATH/html/tmp”

    That error was caused by a plugin that wanted to use the session cookie, this looks like the same error, do you get it with no plugins activated?

    If not activate them one at a time until you find the one using the session data

    If you are not sure contact your ISP as it is not a WordPress error.

    Thanks a lot David! I was just on the phone with godaddy and they did say I had to add a line of coding to the php5.ini …

    How do I add in that line of coding… Is it one of the options on the sidebar on the left side? (keep in mind i know close to nothing about how to work wordpress)

    Thanks in advance

    how would I find the php.ini file?

    It will be in your GoDaddy Control Panel, I do not use them so would not be much help, call them back and ask theme where to find or create the file.

    You would think they would roll it out to all users that did not have the fix, to cut down support calls.
