I have scanned this plugin and did not find any form of malicious code nor a trojan.

In any case, please report security issues privately to plugins@wordpress.org as well as the plugin author.

    Hi @anteberg,

I would ask that you kindly pull this review. The accusation that The Events Calendar is a safe haven for hackers is patently untrue. Our team puts hundreds of hours of testing into each and every release and certainly would have found malware if it existed, not to mention that the WordPress team has independently confirmed your claim to be untrue.

While I applaud you for taking security on your site seriously, calling The Events Calendar out specifically in a public forum with such a broad and baseless claim is inappropriate for a review. The fact is that we here at Modern Tribe make the security a top priority for all our products and actively maintain them (in two week development cycles) so that we are always ahead of the curve in this area.

That said, if you truly do believe the claims you are making are correct, then please reach out to us directly. Even if malware did exist in the plugin (which, again, it does not), then working directly with us to patch it up for the hundreds of thousands of sites that use The Events Calendar is a much more effective means than writing a short, non-descriptive plea in the form of a review on WordPress.org.

Again, we welcome you to reach out to us directly if you still believe you have a legitimate security issue that is directly related to The Events Calendar. In the meantime, we request that you pull down this review and contact your web host for proper advice on how to keep your site as a whole safe from unwanted activity.

    Sincerely,
    Geoff

I can only reply the message. Anyone know how to remove it?

I think that only a WordPress moderator can remove a review, but I appreciate you letting us know that you were reviewing a different plugin and that you’ve updated both the title and rating for it. Thanks so much!
