  • Resolved Wonderful Wanderings

I’ve been running BackWPup in the same way for months and all of a sudden I got this error:
“WARNING: Signal “SIGTERM” (Termination signal) is sent to script!”

    What does it mean?

  • Hi @wonderful-wanderings, just two questions:

First, have your backups recently gotten larger?

Second, what is your setting Maximum script execution time, set to in BackWPup > Settings > Jobs?

Hi @wonderful-wanderings, are you still experiencing this issue?

@wonderful-wanderings, since we didn’t hear back from you, we assume that your problem has been fixed and we can mark this ticket as resolved. If we are wrong, please reopen the ticket and provide more information, so we can help to find a proper solution for you! 🙂

    I have the same problem.
    Can you help me ?
    1) It’s my first Backup
    2) Maximum script execution time is 30 seconds
    3) I use WordPress Cron

Same problem here. I reinstalled, change settings to default, max script time set to 0 which is max without success. Max number of retries increased to 10. Server load was disabled, tried medium.

Backup says completed and shows up in DropBox. Log shows warnings. Concerned about the backup.

Installed UpdraftPlus until I/we figure this out. Prefer to use Backwpup.

Host is SiteGround with php 7.x and site is ssl and using cloudflare cdn if that helps.

    Any ideas?
