    My blog might be trying to tell me it’s pregnant. After no changes, and working fine yesterday, today it is emblazened with the message:

    Warning: preg_match: internal pcre_fullinfo() error -3 in /home/johnw/wordpress_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 133

    over and over, with the line number changed each time.

    It’s here: http://botherer.cream.org

    Could anyone tell me what might have happened. Assume I am an idiot, as I am an idiot.

    John Walker

    I think that PHP is borked in this instance. Are you self-hosted or are you on a hosted server? I would contact your host about this. It may be that the pcre library is corrupt and you may have to have PHP reinstalled/recompiled or similar.

    A friend’s server. And indeed, his girlfriend’s WP blog that I installed is in the same state.

    Valentine’s Day means he’s absent. Another reason to hate it : )

    Thanks for your help.
