Support » Fixing WordPress » Warning messages on footer

  • Hello guys,
I operate on the bottom of certain pages,
    this for example:
I am getting a weird message (on the footer)

Warning: Unknown: open(/var/chroot/home/content/72/2727272/tmp/sess_j7h50c93spkcjt2mmlehioqbh3, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct () in Unknown on line 0

This message appeared after I deactivated a pricing table plugin called “Pricing Tables”.
Whenever I reactivate that plugin this warning messages disappear.

    Please help,
    Thank You,

One of your plugins is using PHP Sessions and the error is because PHP can’t read or write to the directory set in your php.ini as the session.save_path.

I don’t think it is related to the pricing tables plugin because I looked through the code and it doesn’t use sessions.

Please disable or delete all plugins and switch to the default theme (TwentyEleven since 3.3). After making these changes does the problem still occur? If no, re-enable everything one by one to see which component causes the problem.

Ok so here is what I did and found out:
I deleted the plugin W3 Total Cache, Pricing Table and P3 Profiler and the messages disappeared.

Also, for some reason I do not find the file php.ini in my server at all
I use GoDaddy as my hosting and domain service under Linux platform, if it helps.

    Are you update php.ini file.
    check session.save_path in php.ini file
