Warning message appearing on the search results page

  • Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in C:\Apache\htdocs\wp-content\plugins\multisite-global-search\inc\shortcodes.php on line 227 and defined in C:\Apache\htdocs\wp-includes\wp-db.php on line 992

    Hi there,
I believe ever seen i upgraded to WordPress 3.6 (I have a multistie configuration), the following errors has started appearing on my site. I have seen reference to this issue, possibly being due to the use of wpdb::prepare. It is not affecting functionality, and the only tweak I have is that multisite global search was tweaked to search through tags and categories as well as content.

    Many Thanks

  • I’m experiencing the exact same problem after updating WP-MS to 3.6…

Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in /wp-content/plugins/multisite-global-search/inc/shortcodes.php on line 227 and defined in /wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 992

The error shows up on the search results page AND when I try to add/delete sites on the network.

    THANK you!

As bhaz indicated, the error message doesn’t seem to affect functionality, so for the moment I’ve disabled PHP error reporting using error_reporting(0); in the multisite-global-search.php script.
