• I guys, i know that this is a known problem with the latest version, but after the process, also if i have theese warning i have a file in my dropbox folder.

I wonder if this restart due to inactivity can affect the backup file or not.

Anyway if someone have found something to resolve this issue i would really know how! I’m going to add a video on my YT channel about this plubin and before many people donwload it from me i would see al working well.

    Thanks

  • Hello there,

you should definitely double check that your backup files are not corrupted,

though, I’ve been facing those :
warning Job restart due to inactivity for more than 5 minutes.

So I’ve been reading many topics about that here and found 3 things to do before to laucnh your backup and see if it resolves the warnings & possible files corruption

Erase all temp files (except the htaccess & index.php) that could have been left in “wp-content/uploads/backwpup-xxxxx-temp/

Choose the TarGzip method of compression (should be the default one)

Go to your “Backwpup” parameters, then in “Operation” window, tick the option “Restart the job on every main step on a running job”

This trio have been resolving my warning messages for 2 of my sites (the targzip files are about 160 Mo for the first & 245 Mo for the second), I have yet to test it on a bigger site.

Hope this will help some people around

well I’ve just tested with the bigger site with a little more than 1 GO of files,

had 3 warnings, the log file says job has done, but there is no backup file on my ftp,

wow never had this prob before 🙁
