Support » Plugin: BackWPup - WordPress Backup Plugin » WARNING: getmypid(), php_uname() disabled

  • My web host has these functions disabled, and I get these WARNING messages every time I try a backup. Should I worry about this? The backup that’s created seems to be complete, but I’m not 100% sure… Should I be worried? The log file contains so many instances of this error with each backup run that it ends up being a 1MB file.

P.S. My host has confirmed that these functions are disabled for security purposes, so un-disabling them is not an option…

i use getmypid() for a littel bit control for the job. The backup will be done correct without it.

In the upcomiing Version 3 i use a other funtion if it not avalebile.

Thanks for the info. What about the php_uname() function? Should I be worried about all the Warnings I get for that being disabled?
