Support » Plugin: WebP Express » WARNING: DO NOT INSTALL, MY WEBSITE GOT HACKED

  • Thanks to this plugin the attackers managed to upload a .php file into this plugin’s directory then it spread out throughout out my whole site. Luckily no damage was done because I was able to get rid of it quickly, however it was really hard to remove it completely. If you’re not tech savvy you will have to pay malware removing companies $200+.

Save your money and time. DO NOT INSTALL THIS PLUGIN!

On what do you base the assumption that it was due to this plugin that your website got hacked?

    Sorry your website got hacked.

But if an attacker was able to “upload a .php file into this plugin’s directory” as you say, then your website had already been breached by that point.

Which has nothing to do with this plugin…

He’s either clueless or a troll. He has another post too with baseless accusations.
