Good evening/early hours of the morning πŸ™‚

Before we start here is the wordpress based website I’m having issues with – http://www.chiyo.co.uk

I’m totally new to wordpress and PHP, I’ve done HTML/CSS for a year and a bit though… but over the last 5/6 days I’ve coded up a site for a university project I’m doing, but as I’m nearing the end of the basic build (still some styling to do, and an IE fix) I’ve hit a problem when trying to update different things through the website based dashboard.

The changes that have happened tonight are, I’ve enabled ‘permalinks’ just so everything looks tidier, and I’ve also made some changes in the ‘functions.php’ page so that I can control how a latest blog post is displayed on my home page.

I originally thought it was the ‘functions.php’ but I have removed the new lines of code and it still happens. So next I put the permalinks back to default, but it still hasn’t cured the problem, so I’ve since re-enabled premalinks.

Even though it throws up this error everytime I attempt to edit something from within the dashboard, the actual changes I’ve tried to do are made. So it all works, it just complains everytime about this line of code. And also if I update a page from my iPhone through the ‘wordpress’ app, I receive no error.

I’m going to backup the whole file directory now just in case, but if anyone has any ideas on why this has started happening and how to cure it, I’d be very grateful.

    Many thanks for your help

    Giz (Rob)

Replying to my own post, but I’ve just solved the issue, after all that time composing the original message lol…

It was two extra blank lines at the end of the code in the ‘functions.php’ file. Probably a common newb problem…

    Cheers

    Giz
