• I have seen that this is a common topic, but mine seems to have a twist that I haven’t yet seen. so I’m not sure what to do next.

I get the error: Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/gagoh360/public_html/index.php:1) in /home/gagoh360/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1171 when I don’t type the www. before the web address. it doesn’t happen on all formats. Firefox and Chrome it happens on. Chrome on my cell phone it does not as well as IE. If you do add the www. it works fine.

    my site address is http://www.gagoh.com

I have checked for the spaces in the index.php. I understood from other posts that the pluggable.php isn’t the problem, but index.php is. (though I did look at pluggable.php and the text comes up with no line breaks so I’m not sure which line 1171 is) I’m not sure where to go next.

thanks in advance for your help!

    Kim

thanks for the info… I am not finding any spaces that can cause this problem. And I’ve gone through the info provided in the link above.
if I update a blog post I get an additional warning:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/gagoh360/public_html/wp-config.php:1) in /home/gagoh360/public_html/wp-admin/post.php on line 197

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/gagoh360/public_html/wp-config.php:1) in /home/gagoh360/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1171

since the common file seems to be the public_html/wp-config.php… I’ve focused on that file. Would this be correct?

I’ve seen suggestions of downloading wordpress again… will I lose the files and info I have set up on my blog and child template if I delete WP and redownload? or should I download a 2nd copy and delete the first?

sorry to be a bother. I’ve been fighting this for quite awhile and am not sure what to do.

    thanks
    Kim
