    did you search for this?

REMOVE THE SPACES OR LINEBREAKS FROM THE TOP OF YOUR wp-config.php BEFORE THE OPENING <?php

NO SPACES OR LINEBREAKS FROM THE TOP OF wp-config.php !!!

    Any ideas???

there has to be some kind of unexpected output. hardest to detect are extra spaces. try looking in wp-login.php since that’s where the problem occurs

I am also getting an same error message that originates in wp-config.php:1. There is no white space in the file, and i cant find any other causes for this issue.

    Please help

I just said F-it and cleared the database and reinstalled… I wasnt far along, so this didnt really set me back far. … it worked.

    I had this same problem…

everytime I downloaded the layout “less is purple”–I always end up getting that error.

I had to upload wordpress twice…when I uploaded it the 3rd time, I tried to avoid that layout (even though I loved it!). I then decided to take the risk and try it again, and it seemed to be okay the 3rd time around.

but then like a day later, I got that error again..I didn’t want to reinstall wordpress all over again (because I had to do that the last few times), so instead, I looked at the forums again. Everyone seemed to either reinstall the whole thing, or change the code. I figured though, in my case, that it couldn’t have been the error in the code–because my hosting services provide an auto-install wordpress installation. So I figured that it MUST be the layout.

So what I did was FTP into my server, delete the folder for that layout. Afterwards, try logging in again, and the settings for your blog will be set to the default wordpress theme. I didn’t need to delete or reinstall anything (except for that faulty layout–it must be the code error IN THE LAYOUT). Then you can set your blog for a different layout.

At least that’s what happened in my case, try it out.
