When I tried to backup, I got this warning and the backup did not finish.

“Warning: Table wp_woocommerce_sessions has very many rows (22397708) – we hope your web hosting company gives you enough resources to dump out that table in the backup If not, you will need to either remove data from this table, or contact your hosting company to request more resources.”

I’m not sure what this means or how to work around it? What is the easiest solution?

    Thanks!

    Pat

    Hi,

With 22 million WooCommerce sessions stored in your database, it sounds like whatever in WooCommerce is meant to auto-prune them isn’t working. Clear them manually by following this: https://extrawoo.com/docs/clear-cart-for-woocommerce/troubleshooting/clear-all-woocommerce-sessions/

Does the backup really not finish, if you leave it for another half hour? UpdraftPlus knows that that table is just session data, and will eventually skip it after trying for a while.

It does not appear to finish. Here is a screen shot. https://ibb.co/Hn2WZ9H

I’m not sure why I have so much Woocommerce data. I’m not selling that much stuff.

    Thanks,

    Hi Pat,

It looks like you have not yet cleared the WooCommerce sessions.

You can easily clear all sessions from your admin dashboard by going to WooCommerce > Status > Tools. Scroll down and click the Clear WooCommerce Sessions button.

Once sessions are cleared, try to re-run the backup process and check if it works.

    Thanks,

Thanks David and Harshad. It worked!

I’m not sure why I have all those Woocommerce files. I have only had Woo for about six months and have had just a small number of sales.
