Warning after uninstalling Hummingbird

Hi,

I installed Hummingbird and I also uninstalled it. Now, I can no longer enter my WordPress dashboard and there are warning messages on my website.

I removed already the wp-cache.php file. What to do more to make sure I can access my WordPress dashboard again?

Ok, I found a Hummingbird entry in my config.php which I deleted. Now all seems to be fine again.

So, this topic can be closed!

I just had a similar problem. It is a shame this was closed without a proper resolution. When deleting plugins, all traces should be removed.

Hummingbird will remove the entries from wp-config.php upon removal, I have just verified this behaviour. If it’s not removed, something must have gone wrong. I’d need to see php error logs and possibly Hummingbird logs to try and find the issue.

Could you please use FTP or any file utility on your host to check if the following files are present:
```
/home/theyogac/public_html/wp-content/plugins/hummingbird-performance/core/modules/class-module-page-cache.php

/home/theyogac/public_html/wp-content/plugins/hummingbird-performance/core/class-utils.php
```
Also, could you please share the name of your host?

To fix the warnings, remove:
define( 'WP_CACHE', true );
from wp-config.php and delete the wp-content/advanced-cache.php file.

I have the same problem here.

Since I updated to wordpress 5.3, the warning messages started to pop up.

I tried to uninstall Hummingbird and even tried to install it again, but the issue continues…

The logs are appearing not just in my dashboard, but also in my website’s header..

Did you remove define( ‘WP_CACHE’, true );
from wp-config.php and delete the wp-content/advanced-cache.php file?

Hi Anton, I deactivated and uninstalled Hummingbird and it killed my site too. I wasn’t too concerned because it was a small site and I was learning and I just built it again. I used Hummingbird again to try and deal with CSS delays but on my new site it wasn’t an issue so i removed it… and again my site is dead.

This time I’m going to poke around for a way to fix it without nuking it but there’s definitely an issue. Hope this help.

Same issue for me. Installed Hummingbird. Ran some performance tests. De-installed the plugin. Now seeing warning messages in my admin.

Warning disappear when I reinstall the plugin. I don’t need to actually activate the plugin. Just reinstalling is enough to make the warning messages disappear.

This is a big disappointment. The site is planned to go live tomorrow.

I am not advanced enough to edit my config.php file.

Please provide an elegant solution to clean this up. Thank you.

I am distraught. I downloaded this today and now my mobile website is broken.

The desktop version seems to be working fine but the mobile view is all messed up and I can not figure out how to fix it. I have tried for hours and can not get it to work.

Please help!!

It’s loading without errors on both mobile and desktop for me. Also, the above error has been fixed in one of the previous updates. And users have confirmed that it was fixed for them.

The mobile version is not working fine. I have tried on multiple phones.

There are large white gaps when scrolling in between posts on the main home page. The other pages are messed up as well. I originally thought it was just the home page but I was wrong. It is the whole mobile site. I am so upset.

The formatting is all wrong on the home page and was not this way before I downloaded this app.
