I’ve been told that our Broadbean XML includes a value for job_close_date for jobs, is it possible to use this and unpublish the job these when the date has passed?

Hi there – if you are using the standard XML with no modifications each job should have a number of days to advertise field which stores the number of days the job should remain on the site from its published date.

The plugin doesn’t actually action this by default and would require some custom code in order to achieve this.

Essentially this would involve using the WordPress cron job to run a task that perhaps runs every 12 hours or so, to check jobs that should expire.

We (Highrise Digital) actually have a paid-for add-on for this very functionality. Please feel free to get in touch at if you are interested.
