wanted to put files from root directory into another file … i THINK :(

Ok,
I’m loving the learning process with this blog business and have to say that tiny errors of judgment make for LONG LONG un-erroring energy.

I thought I was following the instruction on how to move ‘saralovesyou.com’ “original” files into another directory / folder so I could work ….

AHHH I dont even know how to explain what I was trying to do…And I cant find the page on the word press because I dont have the appropriate vocabulary.

GAH.

I changed the name of one of the directories (following the instruction to do so) and the ‘error’ message the instruction
page warned me about, came up… 404 error… page does not exist … so I went looking for the index… ?? and some other file –that I can no longer remember, but … my page is totally wonky… AND on top of that, when I click on Admin or attempt a ‘log in’, the error 404 happens again ???
I renamed …something, to copy – – -index.something and php.something … AH talk about frustrating… I feel like a 2 year old who cant talk yet… BUT I AM SO ANXIOUS TO TALK!!!

I have backed up the work BUT now I’m nervous about the next step…

Any assistance would be appreciated …This was the weirdest Dec25 EVER!!
I just wanted to chill with my mac and wordpress… and *poof* … no chill but LOTS of mac and wordpress action 😛 leading to, well, distress 🙂 joy to the world.
