  • That’s really a bare minimum theme but a little CSS magic and this theme might get you started…

Here’s a whole lot of good info or creating themes that should help you find your way around that task.

On the other extreme, you might look at one of my favorites right now just to see the possibilities.

I thought that theme had been in the repository here at one time but now it’s available free at the author’s site… and there’s a child theme there if you wish to use it or modify that some.

“You just gotta make your theme ‘yours’!”

Oh, another support person suggested this link that I forgot all about. Give it a go.

There is nothing special, themewise, about your goal. Most themes will handle that with no problem. The only thing is that if those are Pages, there is no taxonomy by default and there is only a menu_order field that most people don’t use. But since Pages are hierarchical, there is built-in nesting.
There are plugins that change things about Pages, but it is not the job of the theme. Or you can use Posts, which already have all that, although normal ordering is by date. Again, it’s not up to the theme to change the ordering. That would be a plugin’s job. But there is a parameter on the function to get next/prev post, to choose to stay in the same taxonomy. Some themes have options for using that, or it can be changed in a child theme.

Thanks guys for your help 🙂
