• I know I can allow or disallow comments. But “No comments” seems to indicate that no one has commented – or it sound dismissive of someone who would like to comments. How do I get rid of any possibility of commenting and with no mention of it at all. Do I simply delete that section from the code?

  • principally, yes –

you need to edit the template files of your theme, and search for basically anything with the word ‘comment’ in it; particular for comments_popup_link() (in index.php, archive.php, possibly loop.php, etc) and comments_template() (in single.php, page.php, possibly loop.php) –
and then delete/remove the code together with the corresponding html tags.

    details depend on your theme.

hmmm another option is instead of showing “No Comments”… you can display something like “Comment now!”….. if you could give me your theme details… i would find a way 🙂

Wrool: I use Magazine Basic bavotasa 2.612. Again, I’d like any reference to the possibility of a comment removed from view.

Thank you alchymyth. I’ll take a look at doing that, but if there’s an easier way …….
