Want to make my website attractive

I want to make my website http://www.waystocurepimples.com attractive. I am looking out for free and reliable source of wordpress templates and plugins.
Earlier I had a WP website, where I used free template and free plugins but a malicious software crept in my website via a free plugin that I had used. Google banned this website and then I had to to close my website for ever.
Since then, I am very much careful about using any plugin or template for my website. From which source can we find free as well as safe templates and plugins for our websites?
