Want to exclude widget on posts with certain tags – how?

Hi, thanks for a great plugin!

I want to exclude a widget on all my posts with the tag “funny”.

I tried this: !is_single() && has_tag( 'funny' )

But it’s not working. Any ideas on what I should do instead?
