Is there any way I can set my site up so that I have more than 5 posts on the frontpage? What would be best would be if I could have 5 posts set up the like “Currently Featured”. I would also like a link to older posts that were once on the front page. How can I set this up?

I’ve looked around my WP admin panel but haven’t been able to find a way to do this, but it must be possible.

I am using the Gridlock theme. Thanks for the help.

  • Visit Options -> Reading and adjust the value for “Show at Most:” under the “Blog Pages” section.

In general, that’s where you control posts per page.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, that didn’t change anything.

Then I’d suspect you have a theme that hard codes the post count.

If you try a different theme (perhaps the Default one) do you see the expected number of posts? If so, then you’ll need to contact your theme’s creator to find out how to adjust that manually.

Don’t you just hate themes where the *designer* fails to maintain built in WP functionality. They are not really themes at all. They are mini forks.

I’ll do that. The theme in question is Gridlock.
