• i am using wamp, to install and create live-ready sites for clients and myself.

i have been installing wp for a while now for people and i still do not get the install on the first try. i have seen people on youtube do the same thing and they get it.

i have no idea what to do, because everything is in place, all info is correct, i have no idea right now what to do.

it’s local too, which i have never done before, but i know a lot of what i have done is correct, because when i sent the folder back to just the main wamp folder and put and misguided paste in the information lines, it gave me a line error (line 52). i then corrected that and the localhost for the address bar (chrome) gave me the message below.

that should mean that everything is ready, but there is something that is most likely missing that gives communication to the wamp server on my machine.

    please help.

i never do a 5-minute install in 5 min. ever!!

    “Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.”

everytime i install, it is never done on the first shot and i have done this thousands of times for me, friends and clients.

i even went to school for this crap and i still forget or get a deal of issues with installing wordpress, php and mysql properly the first time.
