# WAMP update php version – how to?

 * so I see woocommerce recommends updating to latest PHP version. Any good UNDERSTANDABLE
   tutorials on doing this that don’t require a degree in computerology? Can I just
   download the latest version of wamp, install, and wordpress will be there? or
   delete the old wamp entirely?
    Seems like the new php could just be installed
   into wamp like one does with most software updates so…can it be done that way?
