Wamp and wordpress 4.5 | WordPress.org

Not sure what to do this is my first day and attempt at using wordpress…..please help I cannot get my wamp server to go to my WordPress site I set up in wamp and using WordPress 4.5, other than using Wamp..anyone help …. is this normal since I am running local and not internet. When I go to localhost all is fine I see my site -dashboard etc

Can I expect this to change id I use a commercial host

I am so stupid..not realizing that I am local hosing with wamp and cannot expect the availability of the internet without a proper host..lol..so sorry guys..

No worries, we’re all learning! But, note that, for example, on my Mac I run MAMP, which is very similar to WAMP, and without an Internet connection I can locally run WordPress. I just point my browser to http://localhost (aka, http://127.0.0.1). It’s just that, without some fancy DNS stuff, etcetera being performed, one cannot access their locally hosted server via the Internet. 🙂
