    Hello,

I just found out the W3TC plugin was the cause of my domain meta tags (title, description & keywords) to fail a test when checking them. The test report revealed those meta tags were missing. After I deactivated the W3TC plugin, the test report then revealed all meta tags are showing.

Can anyone tell me what parameters to set for W3TC to get it to work with the All in One SEO plugin? In the meantime, I will experiment and try to figure this out.

    Update:

I deactivated the All in One SEO plugin and have now activated the HeadStart SEO plugin. Still, the Meta Tag Analyzer says “Found no description meta tag” and my meta keywords aren’t showing up in the results for my domain (http://woodworkingplansdotcom.com/) either. The analyzer shows the title only.

Once I deactivate the W3TC plugin the issue disappears. The meta tag analyzer is now showing the meta tag title, description and keywords which means everything is okay.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue so that I can use the W3TC plugin?

Okay, I found a fix for this issue…

    Recap:

Even though, I could see the meta description in my page source for my domain, results from the meta tag analyzer test showed no meta description and keywords for my domain. So my site (domain) was appearing in the SERPS without a meta description.

    How I fixed this…

Turned off HTML & XML in the in the HTML minification of W3TC.

    1. Go to Settings >> Performance
    2. Click “Minify” at top
    3. Scroll down to HTML & XML and make sure the “Enable” box is unchecked
    4. Click “Save all setings”

If you get “The setting change(s) made either invalidate the cached data or modify the behavior of the site,” simply click the “Empty the Page Cache” and that’s it!

Now my meta description and keywords are showing in the Meta Tag Analyzer without any problems, which means my meta description will appear in the SERPS for my domain.

Thanks for this post. I was configuring with W3TC and intend to use All in One SEO Plugin.

W3TC is the best cache plugin I think, only the minify is not worth the effort, causes more problems then advantages.

    I could put a list here, but I won’t

I just have all minify OFF and use WP-Minify to do the job

Unfortunately WP Minify doesn’t scale and also doesn’t optimize files as well as W3TC. The only issue with minify is that the new auto mode, which does scale and perform required an addition to the manual mode which caused a bug.
