I’m hoping someone might be able to help me
I noticed my wp-cron.php was taking a very long time to run.
With the help of New Relic to trace code time for w3_http_get seems to take 5 seconds to run per file processed.
So it seems to be on a Page Cache Priming function and it’s taking 5 seconds to read each XML file of a sitemap. So I disabled priming the cache, but it’s still appearing in WP Cron despite being disabled.
So now I’m perplexed
Why does it take 5 seconds to http_get an xml file.
Why if Prime Cache is disabled is the function running?
Any help appreciated
