Yet another example of W3 Total Cache collapsing a site.
I’ve installed it numerous times on different sites now as all the documentation mention that the failures are rare… maybe I’ve just bad luck.
So, I’m attempting to remove it once again. I’ve removed all the files and folders, htaccess and wp config references it’s filters everywhere, and i’ve still a collapsed site. I’ve found that upon importing the latest backup I have of the database (10 days ago), all works. I’ve found that upon keeping the ‘faulty’ database, and just dropping and replacing the wp-options table with my backup, we’re also back in business.
So, does anyone know where the plugin places itself in the wp-options table? I’m to lose a lot of work unfortunately if I don’t resolve this.
