 * Hello,
 * Im trying to install the w3 total cache plugin in a High Availability type setup–(
   server goes down and a new one is created in its place).
 * I have the plugin installed and configured but every time a new server spins
   up none of the settings remain persistent. So have a couple of questions for
   this:
    1. Is there a way to make it save settings to the database? 2. Does the
   same hold true for all plugins i.e no settings are saved to database and all
   in a file?
 * Appreciate any help or pointers that anyone could provide. Thanks
 * Cheers
    J

 * Hi jfernandes16,
 * You probably want to be sure the settings file is copied over to your new server
   before it is put into service.
 * Most other plugins will save settings to the database, but since W3TC is a cache
   plugin, it stores its configuration locally, limiting connections to the database.
   Saving settings to the database would require a database call, and defeat the
   purpose of the plugin.

 * Hi Joe,
 * Thanks for that, I’ll do that. I’ll add the ~/wp-content/w3tc-config as part
   of my package.
 * Cheers
    J
