Vulnerability in plugin with 4.8.2

Notified from my support team that there is a vulnerability in the plugin and several of my sites were spamming. The offending script was found in the Shortcodes Ultimate plugin so they removed them from my sites. This really has caused an issue. Is there a patch to be released soon? Please advise.This hasn’t been updated in 2 months and WP just released a big update. Thanks.
