Vote & View Results Buttons Don't Work (10 posts)

Hi I have tried a couple of poll plugins and for some reason none seem to work. I was advised this poll is the best to use. I have setup a poll and a page for the shortcode [page_polls] which displays the results. I am using the poll as a widget in my sidebar. The poll achieve links to the results page that contains the shortcode [page_polls]. The poll displays fine but the vote button isn't clickable and the view results page just adds #ViewPollResults into the url but does nothing else.

Are there any other pages and shortcodes that I need to create what could be the issue? I haven't edited any of the plugin php files.

    WordPress version 3.5.2

Cant show you the site due to working in house dev mode.

    You could try Yop Poll.

Does it work with the default theme? If it does that means there is either a missing <?php wp_head(); ?> or <?php wp_footer(); ?>
Is there any Javascript error in your theme?

It does not work with the default theme.
    I get these jQuery errors:
Uncaught ReferenceError: poll_vote is not defined
Uncaught ReferenceError: poll_result is not defined

What is your site URL? Which default theme you tried?

Hi Sorry I was totally wrong about the theme. It does work with the default theme just not with mine.

I have put the poll live on my live site on one page that has no links to it. Please use the link below.

I have fixed the unrelated jQuery errors of the page and it still didn't work they have been put back in so because they effect another plugin.

http://www.fleetpoint.org/pollsarchive/ This page seems to work.

Thanks for your help i hope we can work together to resolve the issue

Does your theme have <?php wp_footer(); ?> in it?

    No it only has <?php get_footer(); ?>

Do I need <?php wp_footer(); ?> before the end body tag? If I add it, would it affect my footer being called in?

    Thanks

I have added <?php get_footer(); ?> and the poll is working fine now. Thanks. Could the results be displayed in a pie chart?

You might want to see http://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Development#Footer_.28footer.php.29 on how to create WP theme.
