# Visual/Text Tab in Editor

 * I’m really new to all of this and am working on building my first webpage. I 
   know what code is, but don’t know how to use to my full advantage. Anyway, as
   I continue to build my site, in the WordPress page builder, when you can enter
   a large body of text in the body— there is a series of tabs (visual/text/page
   editor).
 * On some pages, when I click on Visual…it is just as I wanted to type it and when
   I click on the text, it shows the code version.
 * However, on some pages, it shows code on BOTH visual and text tabs. If I delete
   the code from the visual tab…will it screw something up?
 * The page looks normal regardless of which tab is/is not working. I looked in 
   the forums and didn’t see anything. I’m sure it’s an easy fix.

 * Can you share what code it is you are seeing? For example, a shortcode is supposed
   to appear in the visual tab. [Here ](https://codex.wordpress.org/Shortcode_API)
   is a resource with some more information on shortcodes.

 * That probably explains it. Here is what I’ve been looking at for the past 3 days.

 * So I just need to learn some short code and work within that? Some of that like
   the “Rain drop” Icon and “Umbrella” icon are really nice..but I would like to
   use a different one, if possible.
