# Visual tab blank

 * Since Tuesday (31 May), when adding or editing a post, the ‘visual’ tab is blank,
   and with no toolbar. I can add / edit in the ‘text’ tab, but this isn’t ideal
   for formatting or checking media is included correctly. I understand there’s 
   been a recent update that might be responsible (the problem kicked in halfway
   through an edit, which was a bit scary as it looked like the whole thing had 
   disappeared!). I’ve tried knocking down my zoom level to 100% (no change), and
   select all to see if there’s text there just white (no). The wordcount is showing
   at the foot of the edit window. Now out of ideas – any advice?

 * Hi, i’m having the same issue!! I did all the things described by others. But
   still the Visual tab isn’t responding. When i inspect this element, i get:
    Failed
   to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden) post.
   php:2183 Uncaught ReferenceError: tinymce is not defined This happened after 
   I updated to 4.5.2. Nothing changed on serverlevel. Can anybody help us here?

 * Try:
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves
   the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them
   individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s). – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients). – switching to the unedited
   default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule
   out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins). – 
   If all the above steps do not resolve the issue, then your browser can help you
   identify JavaScript issues or conflicts. Do you have any Javascript errors in
