    Hi @julie2009,

    Thanks for sharing the problem you’re facing with us in details.

    Can you please let me know if you have selected the custom confirmation page in the MailPoet > Settings > Signup confirmation page?

    Also, I noticed your Elementor form is not working as expected. After filling in the form and trying to submit it, I saw this error “Your submission failed because of an error.”.

    Please check if your form is properly integrated with MailPoet: https://elementor.com/help/mailpoet-elementor-integration/

    Hi @bruberries,

    Yes, I have selected the custom confirmation page and have added a page for this.

    I am using Mail Poet version 4.16.0. I don’t understand why your submission failed. It has worked every time when I’ve tried it or have asked someone else try it. I receive an email notice of a new submission. The issue is that when the new subscriber clicks on the button (“Click here to confirm your subscription”) inside the email they are sent asking them to confirm their subscription, they are taken to a page with that strange message I quoted in my original question. They are not receiving the custom page that I set up confirming their subscription.

    Hi @julie2009,

    Can you please share with us the direct link to the correct custom confirmation page, so we can check it?

    Thank you!

    Hello, this is the direct link to the ‘preview’ of the confirmation page in the MailPoet settings: https://redbridgequilts.com/thanks-for-subscribing/?mailpoet_router&endpoint=subscription&action=confirm&data=eyJwcmV2aWV3IjoxfQ

    And this is the direct link to the page I created as well as the Elementor editing page: https://redbridgequilts.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=20330&action=edit

    https://redbridgequilts.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=20330&action=elementor

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi @julie2009,

    As I understand, this is the page the link should redirect to: https://redbridgequilts.com/thanks-for-subscribing. Right?

    This could be a caching issue. Can you please try testing 3 things?

    #1

    • Select a different confirmation page and save settings;
    • Switch back to the custom page you created and save the settings again.

    #2

    • Go to WordPress dashboard > Settings > Permalinks, scroll to the bottom of the page, and hit “Save Changes” (without making any changes);
    • Open the page/post that the link is supposed to be pointing to, and re-save it;
    • Send yourself a new test email with a link to that page, and see if it works as expected.

    #3

    • Make sure to clear your browser’s cache, and the cache on your site and server, and then try again.

    Let me know if it works!

    Hello, I tried that several times, following the steps each time, and it still is not redirecting to the correct page.

    Is this the correct activation link for the button “Click here to confirm your subscription” that appears in the email sent to subscribers asking them to confirm–the so-called “visual subscription confirmation emails”?

    [activation_link]I confirm my subscription![/activation_link]

    Aha, that’s why it’s not working.

    You should use just [activation_link] if you’re using our editor to create the email (and not [activation_link]I confirm my subscription![/activation_link])

    Ah, okay! Now it’s working. Thank you very, very much!
