I have a blog using viewport theme ( ). As you can see in the header there is a menu bar with pages. On my blog ive added something in the header and now my blog doesnt show that menu in IE6, IE7. I understand to have problems in IE6, but IE7 is important. With other words, when i added that new thing in the header, the toolbar menu had gone under the content panel and in IE doesn`t show. In Firefox everything is ok and it shows perfect.. My link is Please help. See the diferences in firefox and ie.

  • So what if it`s a duplicate? This is a help forum. Nobody is helping me. So what can i do? Wait one year so that first post to be deleted and after that retry to get some help. Try to help me please…

Spamming the forum isn’t going to make anyone want to help you at all.

Someone will try to help in one thread, only to find that someone else has already answered the same question in another. That’s just wasting people’s time and it’s pretty annoying imo.

So, will you help me or not? I am in need for help, i have busted all day long to solve this problem. I make money throw that website. Do you understand that? Help me and stop harasing me…

IE css issues are really not a WordPress problem, but my advice would be to:

    Validate your code:

Use Firebug with Firefox to debug your css:

And if these aren’t enough, try a different theme or hire someone to fix your current one.

blogatorul, read the answers here:, stick with one thread and don’t “harass” the people who are trying to help.

song, it is not the same thing here. This are 2 different problems.

@esmi, thank you for your help. I’ve read it but i don`t entirely understand. What do i have to do? Be more precisly please…

@esmi … and how can i edit a .css. What do i need? A particular program or can i do it notepad on another .css and rename it after?

This is what i have done. I have opened in my pc style.css from my theme with notepad, delete all the content and copy/paste <!–[if IE]>
    <link rel=”stylesheet” href=”<?php bloginfo(‘template_directory’); ?>/ie.css” media=”screen” type=”text/css” />
<![endif]–> from the website you gaved me and save it with name ie.css. I have upload it and after that i have put <link rel=”stylesheet” href=”<?php bloginfo(‘stylesheet_url’); ?>” type=”text/css” media=”screen” />
    <link rel=”stylesheet” href=”<?php bloginfo(‘template_directory’); ?>/ie.css” media=”screen” type=”text/css” />
    <![endif]–> immediately after <link rel=”stylesheet” href=”” type=”text/css” media=”screen” />.

Nothing is changed. Still having problems.

those lines of code are not going to go into a css file if I’m not mistaken.

Those lines of code go into your header to tell browsers which version of your css to look for, you then have to actually set up your browser specific css files
