Visual editor will not connect to database

The visual editor will not change in any of my web sites after the new update.

What i am seeing is the visual tab and text tab will not change the editor content and when either is clicked on the tab gets a dashed border around the outside of the tab itself.

In the text mode(This is the way it opens) i can type into the editor but can not see anything unless i right click, find it and highlight the text.

And if it is published it will not show up in the post or pages it is published to.

Have disabled all plugins, activated the 20/14 theme flushed all browser data and nothing makes any difference.

    1 URL http://weatherking.info/barns/

    2 Url http://weatherking.info/sheds/

    3 URL http://weatherking.info/

    4 URL http://www.jcsmetalbuildings.com/

    5 URL http://jcscarportsandgarages.com/

These are the URLs to 5 of my sites and i have more that are all doing the same thing.

DOes anyone have any idea why the visual editor is acting this way?

  • Can you bring up the console (Chrome: control-shift-j) and see if there are and javascripts not found errors.

Are all your sites on the same host?

Hello Lorro, (Control,Shift,J) Shows no errors, and all my sites are on the same host.

Looks like your 5 sites have 5 different themes. So maybe worth asking the host support if they changed anything recently.

One additional step in the debug procedure is to rename the plugins directory. This is because sometimes an apparently inactive plugin can still be having an effect.

Maybe the WP update got corrupted, so a manual update may fix it. The procedure is explained here. In particular, do not overwrite wp-config.php and use a fresh WordPress download.

The problem was in my home computer, restored it back to April and everything is working great.
    Thanks for your time
