visual editor stopped working AGAIN

    My visual editor stopped working a few months ago when I upgraded. I found a work around with the CKeditor. Now that seems not to work. I deactivated all my new plugins. I also cleared the cache. I have not re-downloaded. The visual editor shows up in the body of the blog post. This is new. And the screen is grey and I cannot type in it. However, If I press preview, the text that was already there show up on the page in preview.

    I do not do code.

    I took a screenshot but do not know how to attach it. I use mac x. chrome.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.
