• At some point in the past few weeks my visual editor stopped working. I’m unable to be more specific on the time; I haven’t attempted to make or edit a post in several weeks.

When I go to create or edit a post, I’m presented with the conventional text editor. The visual editor simply does not appear.

    Things I’ve tried:

    – Disabled all plugins and renamed the plugin folder to “old-plugins”. I disabled them one at a time and tried launching the editor, but the visual editor remained missing. After the last plugin was disabled, I cleared my browser cache (Firefox) and tried again — still nothing. I also tried in IE with the same results.

    – Switched to the 2014 theme, cleared both browser caches again. Visual editor still not appearing.

    – Confirmed visual editor was selected in my profile.

    – Added the line define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false); to my wp-config.php, confirmed it was saved.

    – Installed and activated the Google Library plugin.

    – After doing all of the above, I switched back to the default theme, disabled all plugins again, and cleared both browser caches again. Same results / no effect.

The only recent change I made was installing WP-PageNavi a few days ago. That was my first suspect, but any issues with that should have been resolved when the plugins were disabled and the theme was reset.

    Any suggestions?
