• Hi,
Sorry if this topic has been discussed before, but I couldn’t find the answer. I find it very irritating how the wordpress visual editor seems to reformat html code sometimes.

For example, if I write the code </br> or <br clear=”all”> into HTML editor, then click on visual, and then go back to HTML, the code is gone.

How can I fix this issue? I know that I can turn off the Visual Editor, but I am not good enough with HTML to be able to do everything myself.

    Please let me know, thanks

    James

  • you cannot switch between html/visual editors when making posts involving html.

    It will always lose formatting

If you start with the html editor, you have to stay there on that particular post

    Ok,

But that seems kind of impractical right? It is hard to only do one or the other. For visual, there are certain things that you can’t really do (or at least it is MUCH easier to do some things in HTML),

But for HTML, it is also really difficult to do everything you want unless you are a pro.

Does anyone else have any other solutions?

    Thanks
