Visual Editor Not Working with NextGen 2.0.79

    I’m trying to use NextGen for the first time. I want to convert from Gallery3 to NextGen for sharing photos.

    The WordPress visual editor does not work when the NextGen plugin is activated.

    Recently upgraded to WordPress 4.1.1. Using the Twenty Fifteen theme.

    When I enable the NextGen 2.0.79 the WordPress visual editor stops working.
    When I disable the NextGen plugin the WordPress visual editor works fine.

    I’ve tried re-installing WordPress 4.1.1 and I’ve tried deleting and re-installing the NextGen 2.0.79 plugin with the same results.

    Looking for next steps in troubleshooting to resolve this issue.

    I figured out the issue.

    It was a permissions problem with the /wp-content/plugins directory. Installing the NextGen 2.0.79 plugin, the permissions were not set correctly.

    By running “chmod -R 755 wp-content/plugins” resolved the issue.
